Terms & Conditions
Last updated: April 25, 2026
1. Who we are
PlateAI is operated by STTLLC ("PlateAI", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the PlateAI website, mobile experience, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. The Service
PlateAI provides AI-generated meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, and related nutrition tools. Plans, recipes, and other AI outputs are generated automatically and are intended for general informational purposes only. They are not medical, dietary, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or nutritional decisions, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, or are pregnant.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, spam, or to harm others.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Interfere with or compromise the security or integrity of the Service, including by introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or circumventing rate limits or technical restrictions.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the Service or its outputs in a way that competes with us.
6. AI-generated content
The Service uses generative AI to produce meal plans, recipes, and other outputs. You are responsible for your prompts, your inputs, how you use outputs, and for verifying that outputs (including ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information) are accurate and safe for your circumstances. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for regulated professional advice without independent oversight.
You may not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, deceptive (including deepfakes), sexually explicit, violent, or that promotes self-harm. We may remove, restrict, or refuse to generate content, and we may suspend accounts that violate these rules. Repeated infringement of third-party rights may result in termination.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you submit (your profile, preferences, saved recipes, etc.). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service to you.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including the software, design, branding, and underlying models and prompts, is owned by STTLLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your selected plan.
9. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the current paid period. See our Refund Policy for details.
10. Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, create security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. On termination, we will delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our Privacy Notice, subject to legal retention obligations.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us (via Paddle) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold STTLLC harmless from any third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which STTLLC is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
16. Miscellaneous
You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
